Random crap I like to talk about. I mean, let's face it, that is what I blog is.I do need to add that the photos that I use are usually pulled off the internet. If I can find the owners, I will list them, if not, please give credit where credit is due.

Is it fall yet?

Wow. I looked up and it was the middle of August. How did that happen? You know what this means? It is almost fall and that makes me happy. It has been a little bit of a rough month for me, personally. On the professional end, it has been great! My book is now in a brick and mortar in Old Town Manassas and is doing very well. I completed Abby 2 and all the sketches have been done. I'm starting to get the color art in. So excite. I finished a short story under my pen name for the Romancing the Rainbow project for Golden Fleece. We have an imprint called By Passion Shorn (yes, sheep joke). It is our romance thingie. Several of us wrote/are writing a short romance story to put up for free. I have Orange. So that is up. I'll link it at the bottom. That is the second thing I have published under my pen name.

I had the oddest experience this past weekend. It was my mom's birthday party and I went with my sister to get some crickets for the lizard my nephew won at the fair. It was a grand opening and there was a lady out there that pet sits. I was wearing my author shirt and she had mentioned that she wrote. We chatted a bit and she asked me what I wrote. I said that wrote a little bit of everything, but what I had published was my Abby the Labby series. “Oh I have heard of that series! I love it! The one with the black lab, right!” I didn't know this chick so it was a little thrown. Then she asked for my autograph and was excited Abby 2 was coming out. Then my mom kept introducing me to people like this, “And this is my daughter, Ashley, the author.” She was so cute about it. I think she might be slightly proud.

So I have a little bit of a breather before things pick up again. We are going to a Comic Con in Richmond on the 29th of this month. My September has filled up completely. Sorry, guys, I have no weekends free in September. So during the lull I'm going to be cross stitching.

Oh yeah, about that. I seemed to have picked up a new hobby. I cross stitch now. Cross stitching is cool.

There isn't much more to report. I'll be sitting here melting as summer does its (hopefully) last heatwave. I'm so ready for fall.

Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana?
Yes. That is the real title.
